I got a couple of cards. And a subscription to bike magazine. And control of the TV this afternoon so I can watch BSB & WSB ![]()
Got up, got a commercialised card…cool. The best one was my 5 year old has made a card at school with a handprint on red paint and a personalised message inside…ha ha.
BUT, there are always other fathers in the line too.
Got to get the wife to her dads house now, and then im…off to work…:ermm:
had a long blast in the sun this morning and now back to be pampered by the kids.
Got a nice card, an MSS Discovery cap and one of the medals my son won yesterday at his sports day.
… and one of the medals my son won yesterday at his sports day.
What a great present!
I got a half decent bottle of single malt. (So I went out and bought another. My Dad always said you should never drink alone.)
I think I’ve also got a Victoria plumb tree coming, but No.1 son had obviously had a long lunch when I spoke to him, so it could be a dwarf conifer with a home made label.
From choice, I AM getting old and seedy, I reclaimed another bit of garden so I’ve got somewhere to plant said tree.
cheers mate thats what i thought as well ![]()
erm…in reference to the medal prezzie not the old and seedy reference btw :hehe:
I’ve had a lovely relaxed day today after working long and hard at the weekend.
Got a nice bottle of Amaretto and Richard Hammond’s autobiography from my little boy:D
Spent the afternoon watching WSB and BSB:cool:
B*stard.
I missed the bikes!
…and for dinner i was served spatchcock chicken on a bed of caramelised onions , roasted Vales Sovereign potatoes with baby sweetcorn and asparagus…
i reckon Fathers day should be EVERYDAY

Don’t start a dinner thread going!
(We had West Country, corn fed, organic, free range, arm and a leg price chicken cooked to perfection, and all agreed it was the worst chicken we’d eaten in years.)
Had my own fathers day run before the family got up.
7h30 Boxhill not open yet, 8h15 Newlands Corner cafe not open yet so went on to Loomies Cafe in West Meon for breakfast then back to Alton and onto the A339 and ended up at Hein Gericke Farnborough where I bought myself a new Textile Jacket
spent fathers day celebrating my sons 3rd birthday at his mums house.
he was definitely the best present ever lol
I got a card, a coffee mug with his photo on it and breaky in bed. How he managed it I am still not sure - he is only 6 weeks old
Had a long walk around Windsor great park and a ride in the afternoon so all it all, not a bad day.
JUST GOT TWO CARDS AND BREAKFAST IN BED
Ran my new K8 750 up to 180 miles. Best present of the lot.
I got a home made card from the 10 year old & a happy father’s day from grumpy 14 year old.
Got a voucher for an Ocean Treatment - maybe a nice massage - need to phone the place.
Then it was off to watch the youngest play in a cricket tournament for 7 hours !!!
