FA Cup weekend.

For those that don’t know, or don’t care, this weekend is FA Cup final weekend were the mighty Pompey will give those blue bhoys from Cardiff a good hammering and lift the trophy for the first time since 1939!!

Now due to South West Trains digging up the rail network again my friends from down south will be traveling into London by various routes and it looks like I’ll be meeting them around the Warren St/Euston Sq area so we can get the Met line up to Wembley Park and then we can have the full FA Cup experience of walking down Wembley Way.

So can anyone recommend any pubs in the Warren St/Euston Sq area or anywhere between there and Wembley, preferably along the Met line route that would be worth visiting? We’ll probably head back to Soho after the game to celebrate our victory with a few jars in the Ship in Wardour St as we did after the semi-final victory, excellent suggestion last time as it is a top pub! Oh and if anyone is out and about on the night and cares to join us feel free to PM me and I’ll send you my mobile number.

Oh and yes I am fully aware that Blue Bhoy will probably give me a load of grief for this thread and that if the result doesn’t go our way, which it will, then I’ll be in for a right slating!!

Ill be supporting Portsmouth on Saturday, cant have the welsh win anything.

I’ll be out on the empty roads having fun! What point watching people kick a pigs bladder around?

The Globe opposite Baker Street tube normally gets a pretty big crowd when there’s a match at Wembley.
Don’t know of any others!

I’m stood on the pitch at Wembley before the match & during half time playing music so no pub for me

avoid them?

Try the Sports Bar just down the road from Wembley Park station. Great staff and full of football memorabilia. Went down there recently and they had a big marquee ot the back and a smoking area, lovely. Found it a quiet and relaxing venue to compose my thoughts after repatriation! Nobody seemed to mind my ramblng stream of consciousness or my frequent involuntary bouts of nausea.
