Extending The Mirrors

you know that!

pink bikes don’t really do it for me

Ah… but the so called pink bike is not a “proper bike”… it’s a heap of sh!t firestorm I bought for pennies my “proper bike” is the CB1300 as in my avatar which clearly aint pink, put that in your YZF crotch rocket pipe and smoke it

Not tempted by the bug eyes then?

Well, I guess the definition of a ‘proper’ bike lies with the interpretation of each person as I really dislike upright bikes.

I’m glad we agree on the whole pink thing though

Well, you gotta keep an eye out behind for Porkscratchin!!

Would rather not, got better things to do with my mouth & fingers ta ta

I’ve heard you got ‘other’ stuff to do with your fingers…

OK now you have my attention… If that is a serious comment or a slight at me I would appreciate that your concerns/comments about what I do with my digits is either kept to yourself or discussed with me via pm… dirty laundry and all that eh…

It’s not a serious comment or a slight- it’s banter. Didn’t mean to offend so I apologise if I did. Pm being sent.

and back to the mirror problem: Options: (VERY tongue in cheek)

  1. Ride as fast as possible so what is behind doesn’t matter (this is a joke, before anyone gets upset)

  2. Buy some attractive elbow pads (this is too)

  3. Go the caravan mirror extender route (work that out for yourselves)

  4. Remember 60’s scooters with the mirrors on long chrome arms? Uh huh…

  5. How about a rear - facing cameras and a video screen in the fairing?

This wasn’t serious comment either - just banter…

I’ve heard that so long as e’s in his flashing cage, you’re ok!

Sherrie what did I tell you last week, it’s the norm on sportsbikes. I can see my elbows in my mirrors unless I move my body & butt over, you don’t wanna go getting those weirdo extensions unless you really want to have the piss ripped out of you

Ive allways had that problem on any bikes Ive had being actually able to see anything in mirrors (im a big arse bloke), untill I bought a set of CRG bar end mirrors, I converted my Gixer to renthals though, so from looking in each mirror I basicly have vision all the way to the oppersite side of the rear of the bike., I recomend them CRG mirrors they dont distort at any speed, but im not sure how they would work out on standard clipons.

Someone aint got a sense of humour hehehehe

H

I have a v good sense of humour tyvm I thought that the post was a nasty dig; but it’s all sorted now ner ner

An elaborate prism system attached to the elbows might solve the rear vision problems!

actually liked the idea of the rear facing cam (and then use it as a feed for a recorder on track). just seemed a bit too expensive/complicated - unless anyone here knows of a way to do it cheaply?

I did see a guy at Box Hill who had a rearward facing camera and a screen on his bike… not sure what kit he used.
