Very sad. I know that area very well - my brother lives along the marathon route so I was concerned for him but he is fine. Thoughts for the victims and their families.

My brother in law runs this marathon every year, he was some distance away when it went off and was turned away. Sister in law would have been in that immediate area if he’d have been quicker! All home and safe tho thank f*ck!
My aunt works as a nurse in Boston and they were advised to stay late to deal with the casualties. I don’t understand the motivation behind such an attack. Simply cowardly.
Two of my best friends Mark and Emma live in Boston at the moment, Emma ran the Marathon, thank god she is fast - 3:23, so she was back home in the shower when the first explosion went off. It’s really shaken her though, as you can imagine.
Absolutely mindless - attacking people who are predominantly running for charities - not bankers/ not politicians/ not the media (not that they deserve to be targeted either!) - just people who are doing something to help others - how can these animals expect to further their cause when they alienate everyone with a grain of humanity. Makes no sense to me.

Well, I don’t thing that is the cause, I could even put my money on it and predict the cause, but I’m not popular enough to afford such a views.
All is said in previous posts. Taking advantage of innocent people, who at top of everything doing loots of charity work, is just below any human behaviour.
