embarressing yourself...

Don’t play with another bike on your commute in a spirited fashion and then stall at the lights. Had fun with a KTM 690 this morning along New Kent Road. Thrashed him off the line a few times after he blitzed past me near ToysRUs. Then I go and stall… Oops. Ah well, probably best that I am not doing the ton down towards Elephant and Castle…

It happens mate!

It’s not all bad - he’ll prolly have a huge grin on his face all day now :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyhow, if you can name a biker that hasn’t done something daft in their time, then you’re a better person than I am :stuck_out_tongue:

hehe funny that, I stalled at the lights today as well, clunked into first gear without having the clutch in properly…oops

Telling me. I have a small grin due to overtaking him on the outside after he nailed it off the lights. Nothing like the gentle howl of a triple engine getting close to the redline. Nice sunny morning!!! Still, it is best that I stalled as I was getting into silly license loosing speeds and that would not do, so sirree.

I sometimes put my bike into neutral instead of 2nd and because of the high revving and doing 60 70 mph I cannot put it into 2nd or the gears will make a very bad noise… I rather not destroy my gear box… so I have to just let it cruise along into neutral with my hazzards on staying to the left until I am down to about 15/20 mph:) so I can change and carry on.
%90 of the time cars don’t even manage to catch up before I am ready to go again so I am ok:)

Is it just me or have other people experienced this???

Keti has other ways of embarrassing herself at traffic lights;):D:D

Glad I’m not the only one its’ happened to!

CC (Him) and myself were giving it some revs whilst sitting on red at the junction by the Ace last Friday night, then both stalled together…well, I only stalled in sympathy for him

It’s good to se that people don’t lose their keys at traffic lights like they used to;)

They do if they tick me off enough! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yesterday morning a KTM Duke kept on tearing past Jackie and me and then getting caught up at the lights. Last I saw of him he had a queue of angry car drivers behind him as he tried to recover from a stall in front of Oval tube. The cosmos is in ballance!

I pulled my first “embarrassingly messy” wheelie trying to keep up with Jay and Tash the other day… v embarrassing when I got to the next set of lights and the scoot I was trying to beat away from the lights pulls up to find me shaking like a girl and lookin relieved… live and learn eh

Its all about having a bit of fun in my eyes.

been there myself many times, it’s esp. embarasing when out with mates, you approach the traffic, revving and bruising, all good, then… click … it dies and you almost fall off
