General Chatter bout bikes should be in Genearl Bike Chatter surely.
Its tough cos this is a big but very diverse community, its not like the GSX-R forum, its all bikes, all types, all characters, so general chatter will include some geek stuff, some specific stuff that doesn’t relate to you personally, and some completely random stuff too. However, I don’t think it should be hauled out and lost in the hinter land of Off-Topic just cos 100% of the readership doesn’t have a vested interest in the subject at hand. What’s wrong with exposing folks to stuff they don’t know about…that’s educationg isn’t it? 
How do you define General chatter…? Light conversation? A thread with no more than 10 replies?
Not being awkward but it would help to know, and it must be said but Macp you’ve got the nail full in the face there. Out of general chatter and suddenly you’re in way lower hit rate world, which never helps if you got a question that may be quite specific so you want as many as possible to se eit to try and get a useful response.
Time to storm the LB Castle and instal Chaos and Anarchy on the Forum, or should we wait and strike guerilla stylee?

If you are asking for help, which you were, yourquestion maybe help someone else later on one day. This thread will suit much better the hep and advice area so others with similar doubt will look for advice there as well. Its about share experiences with others. Dozens of thousands read LB every month, we have to creat the habit to keep the house tied. That’s all
