Ealing to allow bikes in bus lanes

Ealing Council has decided to follow the Mayor of London decision to allow bikes into bus lanes for an experimental period.

Needless to say the numpty cyclist lobby is hopping mad claiming that a majority of bikes and scooters are ridden by couriers paid to go as fast as possible and these “speed merchants” will put everyone’s safety at risk!

We should reply that the majority of cyclists are a danger to pedestrians as they are trying to go as fast as possible riding on the pavements, and crashing through red and generally ignoring the laws of the road.

You right on that one kevsta, i was on my suzi 125 in ealing last night and some bird pulled up next to me at the lights on a cycle. i swear she was 7 foot tall bare footed, so i wasnt gonna argue when she took a look round then off she went. straight into the path of a cherokee. i wet myself… lol… she want hurt tho :stuck_out_tongue:

are they not letting bikes in the bus lane in january at that end then? all the bus lanes my end are on the list:D

the bus lanes in ealing are not red root = dont belong to TfL so it was up to the concils discretion!

More of this sort of Police action I think…

very good video MacP… i think it needs its own thread though…! as i see alot of discussion coming out of this :Whistling:

I mean i feel sorry for the death of that girl but being on a bike and on the left side of a truck when there is a left turn ahead is very silly :ermm:

I also didnt know that cyclist claim that jumping read lights is safer than obeying them!! ??

I think its probably safer to just let them use the Fing pavements again!
