can any of the LBers that passed us while we were queing to get to this event tell us what the hold up was as after 1-1/2 hours to travel about 1 mile we gave up and went home!
oh my god, the traffic was horrendous! There was an accident (biker) en-route but even after that the traffic wasn’t moving. It was just sheer volume - nothing else!
we saw the bike crash - looked a bit nasty, we didn’t get really held up until bit further on - was the show any god then?
I was shocked at the miles of traffic. Once we got to the entrance (by filtering) there was nothing holding the traffic up!!! There were no marshals outside at all. There was obviously no traffic plan whatsoever!!! Once passed the entrance, we then had to pay before even getting to where we could park the bikes??? So people where driving in, starting another queue, waiting to pay, paying, getting directions, then driving of whilst trying to avoid hundreds of pedestrians!!! Whats that about??? No wonder the traffic was hectic!!! Good day but what a poorly organised event!!! Feel sorry for those that didn’t get there…stunts where amazing!!! Red arrows and WW2 aircraft as always making you feel proud to be british…
CD Riders rideout to the show was great, thanks to the couple of LB members who joined us, especially Shewoolf who led the ride to BoxHill, I think when we left BoxHill there were about 30 or more bikes in total.
Sorry I ran out of discounted tickets, I was only given 20 by the organisers.
Thanks also for supporting our members who were in the stunt contest, they really appreciated it.
what a weekend!!
i qualified, and placed 14th:w00t: not bad for just 3 months of riding big bikes:w00t:
I saw a buell there with LB stickers:)
Fantastic day out! Thanks Goose! Will post some pictures in the ‘Photos and Videos’ section later for those that couldnt make it.
The hold was a SV tho that cart wheeled cos his mate turned right with no indication, busa locked up his rear, i shuddered to a halt and he came through on the front wheel sending his pillion 20ft down the road with rider and bike mangled, his leg was wrapped around the zorst and under the seat unit, me and busa rider lifted the bike off while his mate untangled his leg which didnt seem to be broke but his arm probably was.
Did anyone see the Gixer tho streetfighter hammering down the airfield at 178MPH???
Twas me
anyone get any foto`s, especially of the run when i nearly flipped it:w00t:
I was thinking of doing this but the idea of being stuck in crowds of people, traffic etc put me off so I did a rideout in Kent instead.
Just posted some pics in the ‘Photos and Videos’ section. A few more on cdriders.com too.
Some great stuff in the pics and vids section … nice one Paul and Mark!
I just posted a few more of Red Line Jesse and Vertical Joe. The day was an awesome one for me and Flux, spinning the tunage. It’s a shame about the queues, but I don’t think there was any way around that as the entrances were small and the place so big with so many people trying to get in.
