DRZ 400 tinkering

Got the DRZ out to repair the rear lights unit as the last attempt at wiring hadn’t held up and of course failed as I went for an MOT. Used more industrial connections this time. Whilst not quite soldered (as my new soldering iron was too hard to use outside), I’m hopeful it’ll hold this time.

The lithium ion battery was dead as well. Oops. Charged okay.

Also tried replacing the start/stop handlebar control unit with a generic item off eBay but it didn’t fit. Bah. The click has gone on my kill switch. I don’t know if it’s on or off! Might have to get an OEM one, they’re still made, but of course, expensive.

i added copex to the wiring to my rear light, gets all the detritus thrown at it from the back wheel, and that kept breaking the wires.

On my killswitch, I removed the latch (as it would latch on and i couldn’t take it off) and not it’s a momentary switch

I made a metal plate to cover the tail wiring on my WR.
