Been a while since I’ve been on the forum, so really just a note to say hello (re-introduce myself almost). This was all prompted by the LB Trackday email I just received. See, marketing does work!
Anyhow, my spring/summer has had some ups and downs.
Downs:
- Trying to load my Multistrada into a van by myself. The bike is so tall that when I got to the top of the ramp, not quite over that inflection point, and lost momentum I had no leverage to stop the bike toppling over on top of myself! Result was one broken mirror, a few scratches and a very sore shoulder. Bike has now had a full service (which is what I was loading it up for!) and a new mirror. Just needs washing now…
Ups:
- Two rounds racing that has resulted in two 5ths and one 2nd so far. Not a bad start to the season really. However, I have found that my 2004 ZX6RR is bloody slow compared to new R6s down the back straight at Snetterton. Next round at Pembrey though where outright power might not be so much of a factor.
Also just moved to Sheen about a month ago. I’ve seen all the bikes at Poppins on a Friday night and wondered what it was all about. Never had a chance to drop in, but maybe I will have to in the near future. It’d be my first ever real life London Bikers meet. Ooooh, exciting!
That’s all. Hope everyone has a safe, if somewhat wet, long weekend
