Sorry to hear that mate, we’ve all been there. Well done for the save though, nicely executed
Just let your problems out, we’re here for each other

It is not an MoT requirement for a motorbike to have any mirrors. Nothing illegal about it whatsoever.
I passed my test last month and got a bonus from work - yes I thought - Bandit!!! Find one on ebay, test rode it - no problems. Been straddling big bikes since I was a teen so was used to the weight. I did my test on gs500 and they aren’t that light.
Anyways, the day came to collect my shiny sexy beastie bandit. I paid the guy and rode to the end of the road grinning like an idiot. Got to the end of the road and stopped at the mini roundabout - crap camber and almost 90’ angle turn. First gear, mirrors went to move off and then felt the bike going. ‘oh’ I thought, this is heavy and tried to recover it and it just turned into a tonne of bricks. I made it a foot off the floor before i let it go. I hit the floor - hard. Thank god I have a fat arse or that would’ve really hurt! I did twist my right ankle and was limping for a couple of days. Which is why I thought I wasn’t going to be able to do the BCW last saturday.
My fella in the car behind, the seller on his bike and a suited man helped me lift it up. No damage! I was so embarressed! Needless to say, I pooped myself all the way back home and drove like miss daisy. I’m still scared doing corners and turns… really dinged my confidence.
@ barro - flirting is baaaaaaaaaad for your health
the other day i also had an almost drop.I was about the start off and turn (slightly) at the same time but was in 2nd gear so stalled! stupid stupid :ermm: ,shift down try again (but was actually now in 2nd gear) and stalled again (with handlebars turned)
so felt the bike topple but before it whent too far, i grabed it with hands, thighs feet (genitals :Whistling: ) and managed to lift it!
They do say you have herculean streght when in danger!!
We’ve all been there, although thankfully I’ve never actually dropped it as such, although on two occassions in the past I’ve come very close and I had my then missus on the back too, that was when I finally realised that the turning circle of a GSXR 750 really isn’t that great, and the fact that going to the gym regularly had paid off as there was no other way I’d have been able to hold the bike up with two people on it otherwise! (although I think the thought of the missus giving me a right earful if we’d have both gone doen was probabaly a good motivator!! )
Well I was with you Yslart, I didn’t see how people managed to do it…until I did yesterday.
