The battery had been disconnected, and the alarm didn’t go back on after reconnecting it. Checked with DataTool, checked fuse, nothing. Ok, I’ll get it sorted soon I thought.
While we were working on the bike, I thought I may as well re-fit the Brembo Radial MC that’s come back from Brembo. That didn’t really work. Well, it’s great when it works, but it’s got a really annoying problem (http://londonbikers.com/forums/Topic521356-35-1.aspx).
Commuting to work this morning. Get to London Bridge, bendy bus broken down, sit still, bike idling for a couple of minutes while a lorry is trying to tow the bus. About to set of. Engine cuts out 
Try to start, engine turns over, but doesn’t fire up.
Turn ignition on/off, I can’t hear the fuel pump come on
Waited for 2,5 hours for a very cranky recovery man to tell me off for having hand guards (so he couldn’t strap it down properly) and pick up the bike and take it to George White (tbh, I could have pushed it there quicker). They won’t be able to look at it till Wednesday, but I’ve told them a big long list of things to look at and they they could give it a good service while it’s there. Meanwhile I’ll just mentally prepare for a massive bill while all you guys and galls are going to enjoy a fine weekend of riding lanes while I can ponder over how nice it would be to have a working bike with the new lovely suspension bits
