Dont Buy anything from Currys

I spent 1400 on lcd 40 inch tv and stand and dvd player and after 4-5 months is broken. They sent some mad engineer who said there is water comming from ariel in the TV. He thinks I am Mickey Mouse. I complained now I have to go to court unless they replace or give my money back. Dont tell me you were not warned.

I hate to tell you this but he could be right. My mum had this last year. When your aerial co-ax gets old the outer sheathing cracks and water can get inside and it works its way down the cable and eventually finds its way to the end of the line - your tuner pcb.

If i was you I’d speak to a reputable aerial engineer and ask their opinion before you get a new telly as it could go the same way.

yeh,…he must be mad, he already thinks your mickey mouse.:stuck_out_tongue:

never heard of this b 4 but it does make sence.he could have shown u while the back was off

you are mad for spending 1400 notes on a tv.

I just spend that on a motorbike.

Thats a new one on me. I used to work for Dixons 20 years ago and i dont buy anything from them as there aftersales policy is crap and never buy an extended warrenty as it`s worth jackshit.

Hmm cables can be an absolute nightmare…did the installer of the cable leave a small loop where the cable enters the building. This will reduce the risk of water entering on the outside of the cable…if the water has entered the cable at the lnb end then it ws clearly not fitted properly…on all of our satellite instalations and i am talking professional installations not home type instals we have to check them once a year and they do need doing…so water is a very likely cause and the evidence will be very very clear…there will be no ambiguity, the water leaves residues that are unmistakable…

The installer is to blame, if you did it yourself sorry but your fault, not curries.

it sure is worth jackshit as once you buy the extended warrenty the manafuctures warrenty goes out the window
