Yes, yes, even with the bike I have, I’ve managed to pull a small 1-1.5 sec wheelie.
A guy made me mad in his stoopid cage driving like an idiot, I got round him, swore at him, and pulled the throttle and I had the clutch 1/4 in. I have no idea how it happened, but from now on, I’ve got one more thing to practice… :D:cool:
Unfortunately the bike is not powerful enough to just pull a throttle and do the wheelie while rolling slowly, so I have to fine-tune my skills. Any help , tips are appreciated
I’ve managed to do two small wheelies so far. Both giving it a bit of throttle at the lights but the second time it happened it was not that smooth lifting up even though I applied the same throttle response…
I once saw a scooter wheelie across Waterloo bridge :w00t:
I remember someone posting on here a tutorial on how to wheelie from utube. Have a scan and see. I watched the video but didn’t try what he showed but I’ve not been going out to practise wheelies. I’ll have a look for the link for the video.
Think I saw a MCN series on YouTube Inc knee down tips as well clutch wheelies. They were on various bikes not just the 1200 Bandits. Try searching for MCN. Haven’t managed a wheelie yet but then not been practicing either!!
I want to learn how to get knee down. Tried at a few roundabouts but they haven’t been big enough. Found a few that are but were far too busy to attempt at that time. Been thinking about going back late at night to give it a go. Any tips on how to KD?
I got a CBF125 - half throttle and let the clutch 3/4 of the way out and it’ll lift…
I first did it by mistake heading out of Brighton towards the A23 - was waiting at the roundabout with my mate (he’s on a Harley Sportster) and some other dudes on an R1 and a TL1000 - and there’s me on me pot-pot lifting up and first away - there was a mahoosive grin inside my lid
I did an involuntary wheelie when storming out of an exes house after an argument - jumped on the bike - grabbed a handful of throttle and went down the road with front off the ground and nearly rode into a skip parked on the side of the road. . . :DI’d really like to learn to wheelie - but I’ve seen so many vids where it goes wrong resulting in a smashed up bike (similar scenario with stoppies) -that I wonder if it’s worth it - i’ll probably end up going to Jimmy Fireblades and learn it that way at some point.
this is probably the best video i watched…before i even got my first bike two months ago (noob) and ime now comfortable with on the power wheelies and can hold them to the limiter, although i avoid hitting that now. he literaly breaks it down perfectly and like he says, its fine to take it one step at a time and there is no shame in learning. hes also the most laid back yank ive ever heard!! check it out.take care
i even have the same bike as the one they use in the video…stoked
That’s a gret how to wheelie vid c23 - one of the best - he’s great on throttle control but I think he should be clearer on ‘slipping the clutch’ - this is a good vid for ‘slipping the clutch’.
