disc lock ride offs, two on my old bike. both times took out the tacho, not done it on the SV. 
Havenāt so far due to using the elasticy twirly cable to link the lock to handlebar! 
Iāve got 3 chains (all Thatcham approved) that I use to manacle my 3 (soon to be 2) bikes together.
I thought that would keep the toerags away - too heavy to lift 3 bikes at once into van surely. Now I see on YouTube that a 42" bolt cropper will get through the lot in under a minute. Ooo er.
Perhaps the solution is to get a bike that no-one will steal because itās too big for 17 yr olds, too small for the big boys (no Hayabusa here) and not worth stealing for the parts.
