Dirty, smelly bikers at the Ace

Don’t know if it appropriate to link to another site, but the first few paragraphs of this article are interesting. http://www.visordown.com/articles/view/in_the_name_of_the_fathers/2490.html

The rest of the article is a bit long and wordy, but it’s interesting to see how the Ace came about. Every time I ride my bike there’s a strong sense of being different from the crowd. Strange how a simple form of transport has come to signify so much.

I love my bike!

Ha ha, its good to be a “misfit” or “outcast” by going to the Ace aint it !!!

An interesting read, my dad was a member… mum and dad first met at the Ace all those years ago, funny how these things stay in the family and now I go there and so do my kids

And we still have a Triumph along with the GSXRs lol… that sentence made me laugh in the write up.

My uncle used to frequent the Ace on his bike before he emigrated, and Mum and her mates sometimes frequented … looks like it runs in the family …

dirty smelly bikers? no change there, lol

Cor love your avitar !!! sthat you?

Good to read about how it all started.

Must say, first time I went to the ace it felt like I was way out of my comfort zone, but I was soon at ease and after a few visits I was pleasantly surprised by everyone’s friendliness and the sense of comradery.

a great place to meet and talk to other bikers, only wish food was a bit better :hehe:

And we met a nice, young Italian couple at the Ace tonight. They were on a 2 day tour of London and the guy said that The Ace was an institution that they had to visit. They had seen Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Pauls and… the Ace!

I shouldn’t really have noticed, but his girlfriend was nice too.
