Hi all,
Has anyone here ridden a recent (under 3 years old) Bandit 650 and the GSX650F ? I’m curious as to the difference between the engines on these bikes under real world conditions.
Thanks!

Yes I have-owned the 2007 Bandit and a friend still has the GSX650F.
The GSX felts slightly smoother, but that could just be the quiet stock can. It is essentially the same motor, same frame with slightly different body.
One thing we did notice is the the exhaust headers on the Bandit are a larger diameter on the GSX, wait for the mechanics to answer this but that might have something to do with bottom end vs top end power bias.
All in all-theyre both good bikes. A bit heavy though but that new engine is really reliable.
Ok, thanks …
Of of the reading that I’ve been doing says that Suzuki made some ECU and tuning changes for the GSX, but I can’t find any decent power graphs online comparing the two.
I’ve just found out that I can actually afford to insure a bandit or GSX-F alongside my CBR for very little extra, so I’m exploring the options.
This is the standard gsx650f at back wheel (taken from the owners forum) cant help you with the bandit but good luck
That’s brilliant - thanks !
Ah - found a bandit one at http://www.surfsidemoto.com/store/product/AKRS19.html
