Bit of a long story but I borrowed my mates car (A 1970’s American police car!) for NYE to ferry some mates around, but stupidly left it on the main street… I don’t mind if people want to have their photo taken, etc with it, but some thoughtless muppets think it is OK to climb all over it and leave dents on the bonnet and on the side…
Anyways, anyone know a good place to get the dents out? Nothing major just one on the bonnet and one on the front wing…
Use a reasonable size block of wood and push against the dent, it may work but depends on the size of the dent and/or if the panels are double skinned, which I don’t think they should be if it’s the bonnet or the wing?!?
Failing that send Grim a PM, he may be able to help.
There is a matt black VW beetle near my house that had foot prints all over it one morning. I wonder what the hell is wrong with people some times. I hope Karma gets them. As for dents, Ricky might know someone.
When I traded my car in, it had dents along the side from people opening their doors carelessly and the garage said they pay a guy to come and get the dents out of all of their trade-in cars before selling them…said it costs about them about £20.
That was the Eurocanterbury VW garage but I assume local car dealers must do the same.
