to the complete idiot (believe me I’m restraining myself from stronger language right now) in the grey and white cycle helmet and stupid looking push bike…
IF YOU EVER AND I MEAN EVER DO WHAT YOU DID TODAY TO ME AGAIN REGARDLESS OF CONSEQUENCES I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL RUN YOU OVER
it was completely idiotic and could have got both of us killed there was no need for it at all, I had done nothing to you in any way I had not cut you up, nor was I anywhere near you so it was completely uncalled for and damn right dangerous what you did.
You had to be there to understand how dangerous it was as writing it may sound a little sugar coated but…I was going along I had not cut anyone up, I heard these cycle bells thought nothing of it all of a sudden this cyclist is up next to me (literally handle bar to handle bar) then cuts right across the front of me to the point where our wheels almost contacted…like I say does not sound that bad, but it was we were in moving traffic I was about to change lanes as well so if he had left it another second I would have been doing a shoulder check and gone straight into him…
What’s really weird is, when I’m a cyclist, I see bad bikers and driver. When I’m on a motorbike, I see bad cyclists and drivers. When I’m driving I see bad cyclists and motrorbikers… weird eh
i wouldn’t mind cyclists so much if they didn’t take on that holier-than-thou, so-hard-done by, not-only-am-i-getting fit-i’m-saving- the-environment sodding attitude and could admit they’re wrong sometimes
I’ve been chatting with an avid cyclist this morning and he says that traffic on the roads is moving more quickly recently as there is less of it! He also says that a lot of cyclists could do with training much like motorcyclists have! Surprise!! 11 cyclist fatalities in London so far this year.

Weird, but hey you’d miss me if I wasn’t here (you’d just have to throw something else to make sure you hit me)
By the way Pat, this has been bugging me for weeks. I’ve got complete brain block… what was the name of the Welsh instructor at Merton college from our first year…?
By the way, welcome back kept an eye on you boys whilst you was touring round… Looks like you had a blast!
Now being a pedaestrian in London for the last couple of weeks and I have to say that cyclists scare me more than anything else. I have to double check when I cross the road with a green man. Had someone telling me to get out the way when walking down the pavement, I refused and it wound him up. Pavements for for people not for pedal power.
They need to have a basic test and carry insurance. When they run a red light they only get a fine, even if they have a driving license they get no points!
Maybe they need to have their own version of CBT, like the old Cycling Proficiency training I did years ago.
Saw a cyclist face plant the pavement this afternoon on Victoria Street.
Line of traffic with a motorbike on the inside stuck because a cab was right over by the pavement, as the traffic started to move the cyclist tried to come up the inside of the bike.
Result, cyclist got tagged hit the kerb and went over. No sympathy what so ever.
