Lovely ride to box hill today with my dad and brother get home dad goes off home. Half an hour later get a call from the hospital dads had a off broken his leg been knocked out. I arrive at the hospital he seems ok find out a cager decided he wanted to pull out in to the side of my dads bike. It makes me wonder hes got lights a yellow vest do these people not have eyes.
Yes, but they don’t use them.
Hope your Dad is O.K.
As an older chap I have found that things hurt more/take longer to sort out as the years advance. Wish him well from another biking dad.
Thanks man will do
Sorry mate - same thing happened to me three months back - it will be a bit crap for the first few weeks (pain, plus the effect of taking painkillers etc) but things will soon start getting better and he should be back to normal.
Did he have a compound fracture (requiring pinning like me) or was it a clean break? Hope he get’s better very soon.
Hope he gets better soon.
If he can try and avoid painkillers he will heal quicker as they slow the healing process down. I’ve had all sorts of injuries and have never taken the dreaded pills and have got over things faster than those that do, hurts but if you can do it it’s worth it.
Wish him well.
That’s why I always ride with a bright orange jacket. Yeah yeah I get asked alot if I am the Garbageman but if somebody knocks me over they’ll get an earful along the lines of how the f@!k did you not see me in this?
All the best to the man, I hope he mends well.
same thing happened to my ex back in September.
She goes back to work on Feb 2nd but has been told she wont be back on active duty until July at the earliest
