Got caught this morning at the lights exiting the Mall (before Traf Square), and happened to be in the cycling lane.
Was chatting my GF who was pillion, when someone taped me on the shoulder.
Turned my head to be confronted by a cyclist who yelled ‘CycleLane!’ at me.
Fair enough,what made us both laugh (motoring offense #2) was that:
a) He was riding on the pavement, which i pointed out shouting ‘Pavement!’ at him 
b) He rode off on the pavement and went through the red light!

Whoever decided to cone off the cycle lane under Admiralty Arch really wanted to wind up motorists even more,along with the 8 second phase of green light that allows about 3 cars through!!!:w00t:
Hehe… I used to work in Bush House on The Strand and walked up from Charing Cross every morning.
Everyday, whilst crossing Waterloo Bridge, with the green man showing, mind, at least one, if not an ego of cyclists, would run the red lights then swerve to avoid me (coz I’m a stubborn b’staad and would walk on the green man even if I saw 'em coming) - and they nearly always thought it was my fault!
I have no problems with cyclists sneaking ahead and continuing at red lights, but why, oh why do some of them think that they rule the road with their ‘Jon Snow’ attitude?

girl cyclist (in wellies!) on the elephant & castle roundabout. She just didn’t want to advance into the traffic. A Repsol fireblade behind her was revving to try to get her to move to let him thru. She had headphones in so loud she couldn’t hear him
silver ET4, running on a totally flat tyre, who wobbled round the same roundaboutand nearly took me off my bike. I caught him at the next set lights, tapped him on the shoulder and said ‘you’ve got a flat tyre mate’ he completely ignored me. So i repeated myself. Man didn’t even acknowledge me. Fool.
I hate elephant & castle.
I was thinking the same thing… why should motorcycle riders get fined for stopping in the green cycle box if all the tax discs say Bicycle on them? :w00t: surprisingly enuf - both types are called bicycles so why is it that we have to pay road tax and insurance and cyclists don’t?:w00t:
Although funny and yeah you were in the cycle lane, this is another reason why cyclists should pass a test and pay a road tax!
They are road users when it suits them. Other times they want to be pedestrians. How would THEY like it if we started riding on the pavements!!! (I know it’s against the law for a motor vehicle to be on the pavement, I’m just making a point).
I understand that anybody on two wheels wants to get some were quickly, but play fair push bike riders…

But it’s difficult with road tax. I’m a cyclist most days, biker on others, cager on others. But I also pay nearly £500 in road tax already…would you have me pay more?
I’d rather see cyclists have to take a proper test, and have a licence plate/other marking ID.
And while I’m at it, sack off the CBT, so everyone on a PTW has to have some decent training.

I have said it before that I think being 16 with no road sense at all then getting a cbt with essentially 4 hours road time is just stupid! they complain young people die on bike well give them the training they need (note: i used young people as an example but this is not to say older people do the same).
Yeah fair point. Ok, ditch the road tax on push bikes idea, instead the individual has to pay for their ‘licence plate’. I’m thinking this would be a small amount (£20 say) and would go to the likes of Halfords not the government.
I would whole heartedly back any campaign for improved training for ALL road users. One idea I’ve had is that everybody takes a CBT - regardless if you intend to be a biker or a cager. It gives a baseline of knowledge and awareness.

Having recently done the CBT, I agree - it did nothing to really prepare me for riding on the road everyday. It’s not the instructors fault - they work to the instructions they are given, but it’s very different out there in the real world… Thankfully, 1000 miles on and I’m relatively competent and sensible, but certainly not because of the CBT 
Yep that REALLY annoys me when the lighst go green and cars/bikes cant go any faster than 10-15mph due to push bikes riding in the middle of the road!
On my way to work yesterday a cyclist jumped a red light and almost crashed into me just after I had pulled away from a set of lights on Tottenham Court Road and he had the cheek to shout at me, telling me I should be more careful! The majority are fine but theres always a few that get them all tarred with the same brush, bunch of twats.
lol yeah that’s a good one:) how come we called Bicycles on the TAX Disc??? I always pondered about that.
the aim is to reduce congestion by congestion charge…well i think cyclist should pay it coz they cause congestion…
but they don’t if you allow them all to jump the red lights 
I hate cyclists sooooooooo much!, ive had bad experiences with them on my bike aswell as when im on foot!.. My dream would be to have a Hybusa, then some how get onto the Tour de France circuit and coming flying up behind the lot of them… with throttle fully pinned! :D:D:)
