Anyone taken their test in Croydon, any hints and tips, where do you do the u turns etc.
What routes do they use?

Did mine 16 years ago so it may of changed a bit now!
They took me to quiet residential roads in Beddington for U turns and emergency stop, Beddington Lane and Purley Way for a bit, I do remember the Vodafone (was called Lombard then!) roundabout being a bit scary, make sure she knows lane discipline and keeps those life savers obvious.

they either go over purley way into wallington where they’ll do u-turns etc and then back through purley way towards lombard roundabout
or they will go towards green lane for u-turns and then towards crystal palace football stadium and back into croydon
who is your wife taking her test with? the instructors should take her on the test routes, theres only about 2 or 3 routes in total and i knew my route pretty well before my exam!

My U-Turn was in Brickfield Road - the trick is to ensure you never come to a halt in front of the many dropped curbs.
Another trick is to do the U-turn opposite a dropped kerb - no worries about hitting the kerb then!
