Any recommendations? I will soon have to start visiting offices near East Croydon Station on a regular basis and I don’t know the area at all. I have a list of streets with bays, but I have no idea which ones might have spaces etc.
Car Parks
Motorcycle parking is free within the car parks run by or affiliated to the Council. Click on the Car Parks link to the right for details.

Does no one have any experieicne of parking in Croydon then? I don’t want to be riding round and round an unfamiliar town looking for a free bay when I go there tomorrow, so my original question stands.
Aren’t any of the car parks listed by VFR patch close to where you’re going?
Personally I don’t have any reason to go to Croydon so I can’t help. ![]()
I’ve seen bikes parked in the Whitgift centre - undercover and CCTV.
Used the bike bay along side the college with no problems however far to many ‘hoodrats’ for my liking…
I have the list of bays and car parks, but few seem to be near East Croydon Station which is where I am aiming for. Although I know where there are bays, I was hoping someone would have some idea which bays are most likely to have free spaces as I neither want to be riding round Croydon’s hellish one way system looking for spaces, no do I want to use public transport when TFL claim it will take just under 90 minutes to go from one bit of South London, to another.
As I didn’t want to be riding round an unfamilar town looking for bike parking, and I didn’t want to be ripped off by my employer’s rip off “excess fares” expenses system I decided to ride into work as normal and then go to Croydon with my colleagues on the train. People say riding in London is dangerous! You should try the tube! I didn’t get to Croydon, I didn’t even get to the platform at Victoria Station. Instead I am back at my office in agony with my leg strapped up after being knocked over on the steps up from the District Line! ![]()
Bloody hell - glad you’re ok ![]()
Thanks.
I am off to try and ride home in a minute - thank God for automatics with no foot controls! Jackie wil lbe riding escort in case of any problems, but the only one I anticipate is getting it on and off the centre stand.
Looks like I will be working from home for a couple of days!
