Great find! You’re quick Mr G
Hehe, thanks Mr M.
After years of not wanting to, I have relented and joined SMJ - although it’s US based, there is much more info and it’s very active.
Found it there to be honest ![]()
Now THIS is crazy:

I went on the the last NMRO in 2006 - was fairly mad, about 80 supermotos roaring around the yorkshire moors, I’ve never seen so much orange in one place (lots of 'bergs and huskies too). I’m trying to think who else was on it peeps would know from here, only Jim I reckon. On the 2nd day someone launched himself into a gully and bust his back, got winched out by air ambulance, and after that the organiser (Guy, or Funners on the revcunter etc) called it a day and there weren’t any more.
Only others I’ve seen about have been on KTM forum, 17" or the revcunter - Dave Bean, Pete (Sirus), Stoo, Papercup, Gix aka Gixerberg (has posted on here as GixOnPimms), Adam, Keef, KevInYorks, Pec Gaz, Shelly, Miss Mini Mofo, Toots, Mrs Toots, Trevor Translap, Pete BigTrunks, Megamoto, Yamamoto, Terry525, Andyberg aka evolution69, Two Bob Rob, … erm, etc. Sorry, drifted off down memory lane there ![]()
That would have been great!
Where’s the video so we can show those Swedish upstaärts how it’s done!

Why SM isn’t as popular now?
:w00t: 80 moto’s , that must be crazy ride out.
Should we try to organize big SM BCR in the summer?
Yes im keen! A whole day SMing around essex/herts and beyond!
There were a couple of vids and some stills, nothing very interesting that I can recall, but I wouldn’t know where to find them, and anyway I reckon most of it got lost when visordown got f*cked up when it was taken over by TWO.
What made it enjoyable was that it was over a weekend with camping and high jinks in pubs and all that in the evenings, it was in beautiful rugged countryside and then there was all those regional accents! Much of the riding was processional but some was spirited (almost launched myself into the scenery a couple of times).
I don’t really see the point in trying to organise anything large these days and in this part of the world - I don’t think you’d get the interest for one thing, and riding about in a huge swarm isn’t really much fun, I think riding in small groups is far better.

That’s only for Hornet riders ![]()
I think I probably posted this up last year, but anyway here it is again - only reason I thought of it is because of the familiar soundtrack
