Courier insurance, any recommendations?

Hi LBs
Can anyone recommend to me a good company for insurance for working as a courier? Also roughly how much more than third party etc will it be?
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers

Devitts, Swinton and Carole Nash all do courier insurance and the quotes I have had from them are OK-ish. Don’t bother trying to get a quote anywhere online, they will either be astronomic or, you will go through all the tedious process only to be told, at the end, that they can’t quote for couriers online, please 'phone!
It’s surprising also that you ask for courier insurance then they ask what your job is!
I know one ‘specialist’ broker, Traders & General on 020 8519 8070 and they have decent rates as well.
As for how much more than ‘normal’ cover it is; there are so many variables it’s difficult to give a guesstimate but you’ll probably only be able to get TPO anyway. That said, Carole Nash offered me a blinding rate for fully comp this week! (My insurance is due for renewal at the end of the month)

Thanks Mate
Carole Nash was always going to be my first port of call as my current insurance is with them, I’ll get on the phone with the others and compare the quotes.
Thanks again.

Get used to stone walls :stuck_out_tongue:

Traders and General was the best for for me on a Fazer 600 (with 5 years no claims).
Thanks goes to CharlyBR600 for that recommendation

Got messed around with by MCE and the rest were horrendous quotes.
You will only ever get Third Party.

Guys once again thanks. Trader and General came up with a very similar quote to Devitts but after being on the phone with Devitts for what seemed like a lifetime (easy with Trader and General) I went with Trader and General.

True I went for Third party only and the others were at the very lest a third higher or double.

Cheers guys

Keep it smooth, don’t crash or get red mist and good luck:)

First couple of weeks are hard but once you know the clients and roads it gets better.

Boy do I hate one way systems. I finally get to where I want to be and get cut up and have to do another full lap.

Roger that certainly feeling hard, and really trying to keep a sense of humour about it.
