I really do not understand brits sometimes… Why do you want someone like that in your national squad? No matter how good he is at kick the ball. His behavior should make you want him banned from the sport. end of!!!
This is why so many people can’t stand football (and I am one of them). Fans are associated to hooligans (they now even managed to **** it up between each other as Chelsea proven recently), and players that are stupid, violent (on and off the pitch), careless driver, rapist and so forth; are forgiven of given less sentences because they can kick a ball.
Really does not say much about the country and it people. They should be role model and punish harshly when going off the beaten pass (once for getting caught doing something stupid and/or illegal, and a second time for being a bad example).

my Nan was from Liverpool and brought up the whole family as nutter reds 
but there are many jealous types out there who were unfortunate to grow up in families from other crap teams (read all others) and love to declare that i should support Tonbridge/Gillingham instead, they just dont get it
i know of a manc (by blood but not accent) who lives in Liverpool and she has the guts to display banners come match time but she is well loved by the locals, prob cause she is the funny local mentalist
