Commute Bike

Just use the GSXR?!

You’ll be fine in my opinion… i commute in on the 'blade and it is fine.
Dont worry bout getting caught going supersonic… as trust me, no matter how heavy your right hand gets, its gonna be rush hour and so many cages around between the 100s of sets of lights that you cant be all that silly anyway… of course you are gonna go quick now an then - but unless you want to rode a 50cc scoot - thats always gonna be on the cards…

Personally, im gonna prob get a 125 (innva or ps125) for when the salt goes down, and also cos the missus wants a little run around etc… and can get both of those less than 2yrs old for around the 1100 quid mark… so it depends what you want mate…

But in all reality some of the ones on your list are gonna be less practical than the GSXR - IN MY OINION - i just shifted my VFR800 - was sht in town - absolute sht… too big, too cumbersome, hated it… just my opinion.

whatever you go for, try it on your route to work… and compare it to the GSXR… in the mean time - try a week on the GSXR into work - you never know - you might find it tolerable - and then you can put the £1k into something else?

Nice one.

Well that’s why I put the list up to get some ideas. So far it seems my number 1 choices are the Fazer or the Bandit. Looking around now on eBay MCN and Autotrader for some good examples.

The reason I don’t wanna use the GSXR is because I done too much to it to use on a daily commute so it will be my weekend bike (salt dirt rain parking). Plus I used to commute almost the same route on a GSXR 600 K1 after passing first time. Was OK but not too confortable, used to hate using just about 3 gears only:( and these days too many cameras even coming in to London on the A12, A13 or the M25. I know my hand is heavy as so is my foot:) and I will keep it down for a while but eventually I will start going faster.
