…and i like it. TVP are no longer actively prosecuting motorcyclists for minor construction & use offences. This is in line with the yellow/red card scheme that TVP runs for moving offences. The changes are as follows: small plate: If it can be read from 20 metres it’s ok. smaller then a VDRS (vehicle defect rectification scheme) may be issued Race cans: as long as not excessively loud OK, if so loud as to be annoying then VDRS will suffice. Tinted Visor: used during daytime ok, Used at night then summons. at last.
There is a big drive at the moment for experienced Transferees … this will hopefully combat the current average service of a response officer being less than 3 years at the moment and most divisional teams having more than 50% of their team made up of probbies.
The grass always looks greener mate … make sure you do loads of digging, if I can help in any way then just pm me.
I know one of our Traffic lads reasonably well, next time I see him I’ll ask him about a direct transfer into Traffic from another force. I know my unit was doing it a few years ago.
Makes it easier to justify having small plates and aftermarket cans now, not bad, wouldn’t have expected that! Flatout, you’ll get cell-time, with Big Dave!
Easier to justify? Hmmm. Not with you there Jay. How?
As long as people dont start taking the piss then hopefully this approach will spread to other forces. Otherwise, they’ll just revert.
Good news still (but hang on… I never go near the TVP area 'cos I’ve seen porky on the telly and its full of bad people getting chased by plod everynight and police dogs that bite the po-lice, isn’t it??? )
That should be easy as they’ll all knackered - have you heard 'em running? That’s why the sirens so loud - so no one susses the car’s about to conk out!
Nice to hear some more good news common sense makes the world go round, just wanted to know if ill still be getting pull for a back and silver number plate?
