Anyone want them for a tenner each? Come with the management port interface and power brick
Will it make my bike faster, or should I just get a powerband instead?
Feck me those are old.
Crickey, next someone will be talking about dual stage Boyson Reeds.
Am not a technophobe but not up to date with more business/corporate standard stuff these days…
- I have a crappy TP Link router that’s connected to my even crappier Virgin router/modem combo. We don’t use the Virgin POS except to take the Internet from it. The TP Link replaced a Linksys that did a good job but died one day.
I’ve been wanting to replace the TP Link with a Net gear 5 port Gigabit Switch that I’ve had sitting around for a few years. However I haven’t as it has no WiFi.
-
Your access point might solve my problem above - could I use it with my Gigabit switch?
-
if not can it be used as a router rather than just an access point? If so, can the secondary ethernet port be used for our HP networked Laserjet?
If it does the stuff above, I’ll take one
sorry fella it won’t do what you need it to. replace your TPlink with a netgear like the WNR2000
Why not something like http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/products/23691-asus-rt-ac51u/
Is more up to date, 40£, WiFi a/c. Bish bosh.
Can get some good WiFi bandwidth depending on budget. I use Wi-Fi to stream to tv. Working well with higher def content too.

Personally for home stuff I’ve always been a fan of Draytek equipment:
They do xDSL routers and Ethernet routers that you can use in combination with the Virgin modem.
Oh dear ASUS. That’s like doing a Volkswagen? No fcuking excuses. Thanks for posting that Kev. I’ve never owned Asus. But was thinking about it. Very interesting.
I had Draytek years ago, but am back on Netgear since jumping on the a/c WiFi a while ago.
Security’s suddenly become fashionable in the past few months; basically all consumer kit’s long been riddled with problems, hasn’t it?
Yup… The problem is endemic. The word farce springs to mind.
And people’s passwords. Don’t get me started on that.
Seen Mr Robot?
I saw some of it, but the apparent twists got so obvious that even if they were likely to turn out wrong made it a bit annoying. I don’t tend to get on with fiction that tries to be realistic…
