Just wondering what everybodie’s plans are for the xmas holidays.
Normally I go home to Wales and spend it with family but now all my brothers and sisters are married and have families of their own I find the whole thing a bit depressing not to mention boring… so I’m jumping on a plane to Jamaica on xmas eve and will return on New Years Day when it’s all over
I’m going somewhere on my bike for the Christmas week…
Have made a route up to the Lake District, up across to around North Yorkshire, then back home through the midlands.
However, the weather is most likely gonna be crap and wet (don’t mind cold but wet is just miserable) so plans are afoot to spend the time in the south of France hopefully.
I’ve got no holiday left at work, so it’s going to be Xmas day at my Mums with a few family members, Boxing Day, eating cold turkey, chocs & watching Xmas telly…then back to work. At least the roads will be clear, I may even ride into work!!:w00t:
Not like last year when we spent Xmas in Stockholm, very nice.
Back to Dublin for Christmas with the clan, then over to Edinburgh for some Hogmanay shenanigans! So looking forward to that, haven’t been back in years…
oooohhh…you be near me! I’m taking a six month secondment to singapore and spending sometime over xmas to discover Borneo area/ diving - fall back Thailand (went there this time last year). I’ll be back for the summer riding (bearing in mind I was caught out last week in the snow… bbbrrrrr!). I’m not ready for winter yet!
Will take the opportunity to discover Singapore on a bike too - so as to not forget the pleasures of bikes
Ah cool! My mums side of the family originates from Sarawak in Borneo, my great-grandad introduced the telephone there Got an MBE for it too Would love to go there myself one day, looks amazing.
Im hoping to get a bike out in Thailand - only cost about £1 a day! :w00t:
drinking a bottle of champagne xmas morning, then opening pressies, then starting xmas dinner for my gf and kids, then drinking some more. and then playing with the kids toys then drinking a few beers, queens speech, then a bit of crap telly, followed by a beer or three and some chocloates!
We’re off to Japan for Xmas and New Year. What with all this bird flu and what have you, I think it’s much safer to stick to raw fish for Christmas Dinner
We were in Japan last Xmas as well, and had our Chrissy Dinner in a place called Korimbo, which I thought was very apt.
Mark who are you going with as i have a few friends going over on them dates.
Me i am spending xmas at home eating and doing feck all, saying that its what i am gonna do for the whole 2weeks off, might try getting out on the bike if i can.
