This morning I picked up a massive, disgusting gob of chewing gum towards on my front tyre. It’s making turning right a bit of a weird, squirmy affair and I want to get it off.
What’s the best way to remove it? It’s so huge that simply riding round a roundabout won’t help to wear it off (it’d just smear it around) and I don’t want to risk using any weird solvents or anything.
Ewww!Did I hear before now that freezing chewing gum was one way to get it off? Perhaps some cold / ice water on there to make it go “solid” and it might peel off easier? (perhaps with a bit of careful prodding from a screwdriver?)
Hmm … just Google’d … try these too. Mayonaise !!!
Best way to remove gum for carpets and things is ice cubes.
so no reason it wont work on your tyres.
Rub ice cubes on the tyre, to make it really cold then it should scratch off with ease.
Failing that, coat your tyre in engine oil, i heard that works well.
(DONT ACTUALLY TAKE THIS SUGGESTION SERIOUSLY PLEASE, ITS A STUPID IDEA AND I SHOULD BE HANGED FOR SAYING IT)
