As far as I know none. You fill in the details on your paper counter part and send that and your photocard to the DVLA - they then send you the new licence.
I took a copy of both bits though not least to have something to show people (although it’s a bit worthless) but mainly because a little while ago DVLA dropped bike entitlement from some replacement licences and it took ages for some people to sort it out - they lost all records of these guys passing a bike test…
…One bloke was an instructor…
Bet they never lost all records of points though
Cheers mate
Just fill out the paper section as per rarther simple instructions printed on it.
As macp says take a photocopy as it has been known for entitlements to go missing
Yep, I’ll third that, take photocopies mate … they’ve made plenty mistakes in the past.
had a bit of a touch with this on Monday.
Tottled off to the post office on Blackfriars Road to do a check’n’send licence application, mainly to add my motorcycle endorsement, but also to change address and upgrade to a photocard. I was expecting to have to pay the costs for each part of this, but because I’d ticked “add entitlement” on the form (which is free) - that took prescedence over the other elements changing so everything else was also gratis.
I walked out just £4 lighter from the check and send fee and went to the pub.
