Changing Air Filter Housing

I am considering changing the whole air filter housing on my bike (Honda VT750S). (A cosmetic change rather than for performance).

I am guessing therefore that I will need to at least check or remap the system? (as Fuel injected). Or will it be OK as is?

I’ve no idea where to start on this? Do you go to the stealer, or are there companies that specialse in this sort of thing?

Is it expensive? Anyone had it done? Cheers for any replies…

I wouldn’t advise it as you might lose a lot of power. When I did the airbox mod to my bike, I lost around (felt like) 20bhp.

These is a lot of money in their design

With Harleys it’s standard procedure. (Probably the first thing you do - Stage 1).

I’ve seen someone else do the mod (on my bike) but can’t find enough info on parts or procedure which is why I ask.

Anyway thanks for opinion as I guess because of the lack of info it might not be a good idea

Hey thanks for the links Jaime. I’ll give them a good read.

DTR Ross (Pics below). Want to get rid of the big teardrop standard housing and go K&N Cone.
