take a look at old fireblade’s or ZX7’s.
if it helps, I found my zx9 very comfortable switching from my '99 fazer.

of course, you could be like me and get a vfr750 and love it. Mine had 28k miles and a yoshi can on for a touch under £1400

If you want a Firestorm I have one and cant imagine trading it for anything, try vtr1000.org there is usually one or more for sale.

The only downside to them is the small tank, range is about 100-120 miles
