Change of Bike.... Not sure which one to get

not a 1000cc i know but have you thought about a gsxr 750 srad? should be able to pick 1 up on your budget and it will feel like a 1000 compared to the 600 fazer.

Ninja

90s blade

VFR

Old R1

Thundercat

I disagree that people ‘tend’ to modify their bikes that drastically - you might come across the odd dogbone, altered seat padding, correctly set up shock or perhaps even aftermarket bars/ clip ons, but IMO, it’s more often the case that the average rider’s limit of customisation is to have put on some stickers or Renthal grips or a top box.
Of course, it would make sense to ask about any modifications and to try a few examples of the same model once you have decided on something you like.

As long as you’re careful not be a time waster
There’s nothing worse than rearranging your day to accommodate a prospective seller to have the encounter come to nothing.

try and find an early K1-3 Gixxa 1000…and go blow ya socks off!

Don’t like the look of it… :ermm:

I would think the sensible thing to do is keep with the 600and save up. You could find a cheap sports bike for 1500, but the more you savethe wider and newer the choice will become.

FWIW you might be able to get a GPz900r on your budget. 908cc and one of the very first hyper bikes. Areal top speed of 150mph and 11 second standing quarter mile.

Me in London last year on the GPz

The RSV Mille and Firestorm are starting to wet my appetite…

Viewings this weekend me thinks… !

Someone else racing one on the track.

BTW older bike = legally noisy exhaust, mine sounds just like that one

IMO opinion for that budget a VFR 800 is an excellent choice. Definitely test ride one.

On the money side, is it better to buy he bike during the winter months? May get more value for money?

+1 any viffer especially the pre v-tec 800 v4 power and sound and bloody capable sports tourer

Worth taking a pun on it?

Live in London?
Bandit 1200

cheap insurance, silly amounts of torque and nobody wants to nick it.
I just replaced mine with another one, thats how bloody good they are.

Totally +1 to that. I would have suggested that but the OP said “sporty”, which I took to mean sporty styling.

I’ve had my 1250 for 5 years and 52k miles, spent a long time choosing what to replace it with, after briefly toying with the idea of getting a new Triumph Explorer finally realised that is a stupid idea and will get another 1250 once mine ceases to be economical to own, which will probably be never.

+100

I didnt even want another bandit to be honest, i test rode a CB1300 and thought it was a bit shite.
Then i thought… screw it, try a bandit 1250… then went out and bought one within a week!.

Best bike i have ever ridden for in town/city riding.

Before rushing make sure what you really want is a super sport bike.Test ride one first, you may find something more similar in character with ykur Fazer suits your needs better. That’s why I would recommend a VFR…

 nice one. We are the enlightened few

Enjoy your new bike

i’d say pop down to ace sit on a few bikes, but at that price amy be it is better to wait till winter keep looking on autotrader etc and someone will sell one cheaper. Feb is always quite month for car sales maybe the same for bikes

Hahahahaha sit on some random persons bike and get kicked swiftly off it nice

Where Kishan with the regular friday call up for ACE???

I think he may be a tad upset at some of you :Whistling:

Stand by your bikes tomorrow… I won’t be offended if you say NO… F*** OFF…! But try and be nice !!!
