Central London good bike workshop - track bike help

Dear all,

I have had a small mishap again with my track day bike (Suzuki GSXR 1000 K6). My usual dealer (Steve Jordan in Surrey) is swamped with work and it pis$es me off to drive down there all the time for small bits and pieces or for him to have a look at something.

I would therefore like to find a dealer or workshop in London, closer to where I live (West/Central London) that can help me with the following:

  • order parts, race fairings, etc. which I have to replace each time I crash or want to change smthing
  • adjust and work on my ohlins forks and shock which seem to behave weirdly (in my opinion)
  • generally check my machine etc. (alignment of wheels, change my slicks, etc.)

Does any one have recommendations? I thought about Metropolis, because there is a guy there who is REALLY good and races and he must know what he is doing, but have doubts…

Best
JP

Would recommend that you speak to Mike on here, he has his own garage and business doing “custom” stuff. After speaking with him, know that he knows his stuff

Otherwise,if you want “Suzuki” shop - I know that there have been stories bout the fellas at George White in Slough, BUT I have been using them for a bit now and they DO do what they say and are very good at it. Matter of fact just had the bike in their yesterday for the 7500 mile adjustment, runs well pukka now (well better than when it went in) and have always found that they know what they are talking bout and are very friendly bunch.

Sounds like Mike is the man… lots of Mike’s though… could you direct me a bit more?

Re Suzuki dealer in Slough I don’t like them. When I had a lot of work done on my bike I asked them to give me a call back and a quote, hassled them a few times and they just didn’t bother - clerly not business oriented so no more dealing with them!

Plus I have heard bad stories about them separately…

Tekmotive in Welham Green Herts. Wasn’t sure where you were sorry.

Small friendly garage, raced themselves up untill recently too so know their stuff

Edited as your post clearly said “Central” London- Going now

You could try Burwin Motorcycles on Essex Road (Islington/Hackney) 0207 359 3050. Or Essential Rubber (Hackney) 0207 241 0055? Don’t know what stock they have, but they both do ride in/ride out and are good and won’t rip you off. Burwins race themselves. 241 0055

Mike is M9Performance on here.

Beat me to it darling!

Otherwise known as Albert to Morgawr!
