Censorship

Can we really type what we think/feel about a matter?

Or the only way we can do it, is by publishing ourselves on a forum or blog?

Your opinions?

Sometimes it’s better to leave your thoughts in your head, we don’t always have to say what we think, strewth I’d be in serious trouble if I walked round telling people what was in my head

Common sense is the best gauge. If you have to think “should I?” about it then you probably shouldn’t post it.

If you don’t think twice about anything then you shouldn’t be allowed near a keyboard.

Consider that not everyone is equipped with skin** as thick as your own might be

Disclaimer
** this is no way meant to be offensive to anyone who’s skin may actually be thicker than mine, or indeed be a different gender/colour/race/nationality/physical ability/sexual orientation etc to mine…

Sounds like if I want your opinion I’ll give it to you.

If you read it like that, that’s your call. I re-read it and decided it was fine to post as general rule of thumb, and not aimed at anyone specific. It’s up to you how you read it.

Well when I am posting I always try and think about it from every possible angle before clicking that ‘post’ button. And I always make a rule of not to edit a post, unless there is spelling mistakes - I would never edit anything that I have said directly!

PS this is me typing what I feel about a matter.

If it is about Bikes/Riding/Mechanical stuff, then I reckon almost anything goes.

Anything else that is too inflamatory that is non-biking then take it to a different forum, there are loads out there.

Sorry if a little blunt, but only got 5 mins till my next meeting…

Actually, this is quite a good rule Oli.

I hate any form of censorship - but I also believe that with freedom of speech comes responsibility.
