CBT tmrw and the weather.....

Nice one stranger. Great feeling isn’t it?

Are you going the whole way and doing your full test?

Well done Stranger!
I remember the feeling when I completed mine; I was so happy to know that a new part of my life was beginning.
That is my ‘happy place’ if there is such a thing!

Passed thank goodness, now can get on with the DAS, wk tmrw! Only had a few sprinkles of rain but they were towards the end so didn’t mind so much. Stalled twice, once in the playground (!) and once when coming down hill trying to change down gears, braking and getting ready to turn right…arghhhh!

Thanks all for the advice, and well done Stranger…another 2 ‘learner’ LBs on their way.

:D:D:D

Well done to you both:)

Nice1 Dudette!!!

when i did my cbt it was the opposite of cold and wet…it was just too f**cking hot! the instructors were getting really ratty and a few people flaked out from the heat, only 3 of us actually finished out of 15, with all the gear on that they wernt used too! when i took my helmet off i was sopping wet i must av lost a few pounds too ehehe…got the piece of paper though…

We’re hardcore :smooooth: Very good feeling about it all at the moment
Yeah I’m going to go straight on and get some lessons then take my test. I just want to get my test out of the way asap then I’ll find a bike. I want to get my test out of the way just in case I end up not taking it until October time when the test is changing :ermm:

congrats to both of you
and good luck with the rest of your training

Well done both

the test is changing in october?

Yeah, you have to go to a specific off road facility to do a load of off-road maneuvers etc. like on the CBT, just a few more and supposedly harder. Only after all that do you get to start your test on the road.
I can’t remember all the details but google it and you shall see

http://www.dsa.gov.uk/Category.asp?cat=405

There, figured I might as well find a page for ya, saves everyone looking.

I suppose it won’t be too much trouble, but it just adds more stuff to worry about in the test, and for me I’d have to go to Shrewsbury for mine (20 miles away) and do my test on roads I don’t know well at all. Not too much of a problem I concede but it’d be better on roads around where I live in Telford. I know all the roads, speed limits, one way streets, speed cameras and other random things to look out for…

I was told that the test will also cost more, but not sure how much more…

thanks for that , i did look on the dsa site but couldnt find anything.
was hoping to pass before the end of the summer anyway so this shouldnt be a problem

Congratulations to you both

Yes,but the main thing to remember is that the test centres of which there are about 260 of are being cut to just over 60.

Well done on passing your CBT’s today.

Congratulations shunshine and best wishes for the DAs.

Oldguy.

(Er…What’s all this CBT and DAs nonsense? I thought you just took a test and had to answer three Highway Code questions at the end.)

You also have to do more than ride around the block without falling off…ahhh they were the days!! lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Congratulations guys, all the best with the next phase of your riding!

Congratz to the both of you, well done
