Ok, here’s the deal. We have managed to find another fantastic apartment in the same building we are in now, and need to move out of our current apartment on the 20th of January.
Prior to moving out, I need to give the carpets a once over to make sure it’s in the same state we moved in. No stains or anything, just generally could do with a clean before we move out.
So, does anybody have a carpet cleaning machine we could please borrow for a day, or know of anywhere in SE8 or SE16 area that would hire one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and reciprocation may invove beer or whiskey!
Try your local B&Q, mine does carpet cleaner rental.
Otherwise have a look on eBay in your area for a Vax Carpet Cleaner. You can pick them up for a good price (>£50), I did. I’d offer to loan it to you but someone drop it and broke it.
We dread to think why your carpet is stained, but check out yer local dry cleaning shops. They often have carpet cleaners to rent for a day, and give you the right detegent/chemicals etc to use with them.
Alternatively turn them over, just like yer do with bedspreads and underpants:D
