Have managed to swim breast stroke today with both arms, I have to use a float in my right arm and it sort of works…but now i am suffering as the muscles I was using, which havent been used in over 6 months are totally locked in cramp and I am finding it difficult to sleep with the pain…so am writing annoying posts to everyone…so there…
Good to see that you are slowly getting back, after a few times swimming those muscles will be fine.
Cramp is good. Muscles are waking up and should be okay in a couple of weeks with constant usage. My quadraplegic brother is happy to be feeling pain (very mildly) after 11 years of numbness.
Good to see you’re making excellent progress, it’s bound to hurt a bit after exercising you’re arm muscles for the first time in months, and I’m with you on the lack of sleep, I get pins & needles in my arm, but I’ve been referred to a nerve specialist in W1, who I’m going to see next Tuesday, I’m almost missing London whilst I’m off, so it’ll be a nice day out!
Good to hear you are making progress, but a nice email about 900 in the morning would be more preferable to being woken up at silly o’clock in the morning. :D;)
Kind of know that feeling (or lack of it)!
I’m 21 tomorrow, or rather it will be the 21st anniversary of my rather different and unplanned existence. I was hoping to take a day off and ride down to Ilminster, have a look at where it happened, which is something I’ve never done. Looks like I’m required at work though. ![]()
Keep going 2strokes, so long as there’s change, there’s progress.
Get on gabapentin, it works wonders on nerve pain and virtually no side effects…its amazing stuff…good luck for tuesday…
Nice one Paul - maybe a spot of " self pleasurisation " ( is that actually a word ?? ) to celebrate eh
Should help build the muscles too buddy - double edged sword eh
