Can't believe it

Some damn yoots just had a go at my R6 on my driveway… I damn near ripped my trousers open gettin out the house… Its just taken me half an hour to turn get the alarm to turn off and you know what? Not a single person put their light on to see what was going on outside with both alarms going off at 2:30 in the morning… I still can’t believe I nearly lost my baby. Still shakin at the thought of some **** gettin away with it :frowning:

Did you disturb them or maybe someone did open their curtains and scare em away ?.

Do you cover your bike at night.

I know a few people who have had R6s stolen so those bikes seem quite high on thieves’ “shopping lists”, as it were. If i had one i would definitely secure it with the best gear i can get - an Almax IV chain, and the Squire lock and ground anchorthat Almax supply, and keep the bike secured by its frame (ie not just put the chain through a wheel). And I would keep it covered up with the cover secured also so they would have to cut it to get it off.

I’m glad they didn’t get your bike, and that you didn’t rip your trousers.

yes glad you kept it all, including the baby…? shame we cant shoot people caught in the act as they can in the US…I know the Americans have some dumb laws but being able to shoot an intruder, or thief is a good one…why hasnt that one come to the UK…most other ones do…

thats poo news  but atleast you know to keep a eye out now

posible this might be of use? http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Main/sp-42-6947-50580-outdoor-pir-and-remote-indoor-socket-(3000w).asp

you could plug a radio or light into it and once they trigger it you’ll know

there are some like that system in b&q discounted to £10 clearence, leytonstone;)

Bad news.

Hope the rat gets his hands chopped off.

:w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t: it wasnt me!!

lucky dude…

keep and eye on it fella, they may chance another go, get a cover, and a cable lock and lock the cover to the bike…anf if poss fit a ground anchor:)

Seems that the continuing crime wave of theft is, well continuing. Why isn’t there a specialist team in the Met dealing with this? It appears to me that this isn’t petty theft, it’s highly organised.

Seriously forget about the chains, if they want it they will have it. Get a Tracker fitted PDQ.

trackers dont always work…make it hard work to steal…or buy a CBF:D:w00t:

hahahahaa rather have a Vee over anything else anyday, specially a GSX14 i know an OAP that rides one of them…tugger or summit he’s called:D

Lol :stuck_out_tongue: It was covered and anchored to a ground anchor that I cemented into the drive way. Doesn’t really matter though because they can just cut the chain :frowning: The bike is practically right next to my bedroom window so I heard the gravel outside then a large bang and the alarm!
Saw two lads sitting outside my house in their car the day before eying up the bike as I took the cover and chains off. Had to stand there and stare at them for good little while before they left.
Would love to get an Almax and a tracker but I’m a student and it’s hard enough trying to pay the finance and insurance as it is :frowning: I know that in the long term its a good investment, but the last thing I want to be doing right now is borrowing more money from the bank.
I am just really disappointed that the police seem to be doing very little about all these thefts.
To add insult to injury I rode the bike up to the garage to get the alarm sorted this morning because its gone gaga. Rode past two police cars and a van with my alarm blaring. Not even a second look lol… I mean I know they are busy, especially in South London, but that’s taking the **** a little ain’t it?

can see where your coming from dude…keep an close eye on that bike fella.

kinda why, depsite wanting one, i didnt buy an R6…

did they ever catch the sv thief?
