Yeah that new Canon fishy does look sweet but at around the £1500 mark I’d find it hard to justify a purchase, especially as I recently bought a prime Samyang 8mm fishy which produces awesome results despite being under 300 quid! Check this from Fri:

interested to see what the reviews end up being like for the extenders. i’m seriously tempted to get one but have heard very mixed things about them. the 200mm with full frame sensor just doesn’t give me enough reach on odd occassions, so cant justify a full on telephoto.
the price on them is also horrific based on pre-order prices compared to the old version. will defo have to wait for that to calm down

suppose it will boil down to how good the version 3 is over version 2. 2 wasn’t that bad relatively, and will take a further hit now that its no longer the current model. the diff is marginal then that could be more bargainous.
i say this, yet even i’m not convinced
