Can they be sued?

Noticed this ad whilst reading on the Sport Rider Magazine website which seems to be for one of those Internet polls.

The incredibly crass way it’s being promoted though reminded me of when the rapper 50 Cent filed a law suit against an Internet marketing company for a web ad-game they promoted where the aim was to ‘shoot the rapper’.

The ad was different to this one in respect that it portrayed a character very similar in looks to the rapper, but nonetheless, this advert seems as offensive to me.

Are there any Internet ad agencies?

As this is a google based advert, I’m surprised it’s not been pulled.

If you’re talking libel, then no - I don’t think anything could come of it. It won’t have damaged Rossi’s reputation in any way, or caused him to be “shunned or avoided”, as the legalese goes.

But you’re 100% right in saying that it shouldn’t be there, given that it’s just not true.

It’s just plain weird, aside from being crass!

google a pretty strict with adwords when it comes to ‘misrepresentations’, im surprised they let it slip through.

they probably dont know who/what rossi is :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw the exact same ad on an F1 website last week, except with lewis hamilton
