From what i understand, to ride a 125 in France you need a full bike licence.

You are fine taking a 125 to France providing you hold a full licence.

There are a couple of Guys who ride their 125’s from somewhere in the Midlands to Le Mans every years, must be mad but perfectly legal.

As the others said, you can ride whatever you want as long as you have a full licence.

Should have mentioned that you have to have a full motorcycle licence to be able to ride your bike in France, your full car licence only allows you to drive your car.

Although it may seem obvious, there atre a lot of people who are under the impression that because we are members of the EU, that they can ride their bike in another EU country on their UK licence so long as they have the entitlement.

In short you can only use the vehicle for which you have a full UK entitlement for.

Yes, EU rules mean any full entitlement is valid across the EU, but provisional entitlements are worthless outside the country in which they are granted.

If you’ve held your full car licence for more than two years, you can ride a 125cc in France, same as the French themselves. Well, actually, they can ride 125cc bikes at 16 upon passing a test.

It is very simple, if you do not hold a full motorcycle licence, you cannot ride your bike in France.

Forget your car licence, has no bearing unless of course you want to take the car.

across in EU you can drive everything for what you have your driving license issued in your country…
