I have a Full Yoshimura Tri Oval System on my 2004 750. The can is a Stubby and i’m not completely sold on the look of it so want to get a new set up. I don’t want to go back to a Bolt on and want to keep the headers and link but maybe get a newer style Yoshi Can.
My question is…
If I keep the headers and link pipe and change the slip on can to a nicer style one would it fit and seal properly?
In my mind, If I measure the diameter of the link pipe then providing the bottom of the replacement can has the correct diameter hole it should just slide on and the Springs fit in place to hold it on.
My only concern would be regarding the angle of the new can, I would need to find out if it would send the can to far into the bike, or not enough for the bracket to reach the hanger. What bikes use the same sort of can set up as a K Series?
