Going to work yesterday morning, was riding round the back of Regents Park, had to overtake someone wearing cycling gear, helmet etc. - on a great big UNICYCLE ?!?! I bullsh1t you not !
I was so bewildered that I looked at him as I overtook then realised the traffic in front had stopped for the lights, had to apply my brakes sharpish !
Really was bizarre to say the least, how do you stop or switch direction on those things in an emergency ?
Glad nothing nasty came out of this insident.
I think they just stop peddling to brake, obviously keeping their feet in touch with the peddles or just superman off the uni. I live just over the road from the park and sometimes cut through there going to work. But because of the olympics holding the cycling stuff there in 2012 (for all our sins), there is an abundance of skinny 2 wheeled lycra sporting bods parallel x2, 3, 4 (illegal) riding around the park in the mornings, afternoons and way in to the night when the park gates close.
