How’d you get on then?

really enjoyed it mate, and would say it was well worth it for me. Pretty intense day and have to say that the Stowe circuit was actually a lot of fun despite it looking like a go-kart track. my adductors are killing me!

it makes the tracktime pretty full on as there isn’t really any rest on the session if you’re trying hard, and plenty of corners to practice as a result.

in some respects disappointed I wasn’t better at the drills, although to be fair the reason i booked it was to improve and I knew there were problems. I’m not turning the bike fast enough/accurately enough and its making a cobblers of my line. the drills defo helped to work out what i was doing wrong, and can hopefully now crack on with the practice.

I would say that i used to be better than my current riding as I’m just not out on track that much and road riding has apparently made me a bit lazy on the steering/body positioning stuff (esp as i’m mainly on the hornet these days). as i improved on the day I started to feel much more like i used to on track. added to that I started to actually work out what was going wrong with the steering in the past.

for instance I was often gassing it too early (before I’d actually finished my steering fully) and wasn’t turning the bike fast/hard enough and was actually resisting the turn input with my other hand in some cases. need to work on basically just lobbing it in!

need to get back out on track to work on the stuff now

Glad you enjoyed it mate!! Best money I ever spent!!
