I was bidding on one last night, a barn bike, no documentation, non-runner, lots of rust etc etc so thought maybe £100, possibly £150 . . . it went for £280 in the end, just above my max bid. These things seem to be holding their value better than faster more modern bikes  It’s crazy.
I had to tell it at some point
I’m looking at all c90’s on eBay and bidding the price up
very sought after bikes.
I Know of a K reg one going for £500 if anyones interested btw.
expect to pay good money for these bikes now honda have stopped producing them!
Sarah’s mum has a C50 and I know that a garage has offered her over £2,000 for it.
Her one is in mint condition except a few minor bits!
Personally I think that she should have taken it but she loves it too much!
well im on the hunt for another 1 now, the bugger that was gonna sell me his one got a better offer and he sold it straightaway without even asking me !!!
Whats wrong with you lot ?, if i was you i would follow fishys example and go for cd 175’s , 2 for £100 !;)
She was quick off the mark to get those, bargain, obviously not a sofa morning ![]()
There’s another one that failed to reach reserve at £325 which is odd because it’s a fully working unit.
I can’t believe I’m trying to buy a bike we used to laugh at . . . ![]()
what do you mean used to?
slarty it doesn’t help when someones trying to outbid you :D:D:D:D;)
Yesterday in Battersea a guy on a C90 pulled up beside me and asked some questions because he was interested in upgrading to a maxi-scooter. I didn’t get chance to get his details for anyone, as it looks like he will soon be selling - but the lights changed, and he pulled away sooooo slowly!
Can someone explain why all the sudden interest in the old steppies?!?
A friend of mine has been racing these things the last couple of years in an off-road 24hr style charity competition, she’s been having great fun but falling off lots!
Can’t you just go to the nearest pizza delivery shop and ask to buy one of their old ones, or have they upgraded their fleets these days?!?
Why on earth do you want one?
gaffertape (21/05/2008)
Why on earth do you want one?
Because they are better than 675s
There was a suggestion that it might be fun to race them, but that was when we thought you could get and MoT’d one for £200 or so. For more money I’d rather do somehting else.
