How embarrassing. First rule of the road guys - watch where you’re going.
Essex Police statement:
Police are investigating a crash on the A414 near Hylands Park, Writtle, Chelmford at 7.40am this morning (July 7) as the Torch Relay convoy was travelling in the opposite direction.
Two motorcyclists, a man and woman, known to each other, collided with each other as the Torch convoy vehicles were approaching from the opposite direction. The two cyclists were given immediate medical aid by staff from one of the coaches. The two cyclists are being taken to Broomfield Hospital where they will be treated for potential broken bones.
