Buell Fun!

I’ve just had a ride on BabyJ’s buell. I tell you, it’s the most fun I’ve had on two wheels for some time. It’s a real hoot! Completely different discipline, much more of a town bike! I only used it to go to the shops and ended up on a ten mile wiggle around West London (don’t worry, I filled her back up James!).

The torque is so addictive. All the fun starts at 3k rpm as it roars along, snicking a couple of gears. You seem to keep a much lower speed with this style as well, though it could be deceptive due to the power delivery. The way it rattles you softly at the lights made me giggle as well.

It’s a head-turner as well, I stopped for some fuel and had someone talk to me saying they love the sound and heard me going back and forth a few times  People seem to love the sound of it more than an inline-four. I’m not sure if that’s because they like the sound or wonder who the hooligan is!

Thanks James, I really enjoyed that. It’s made my weekend. That and the electric scooter shoot!

Welcome to The Vee Side Jay;)

which one did you try. the XB12 or the XB9?

wait till you get an aftermarket exhaust…then its VROOM. (sound not necessarily speed :stuck_out_tongue: )

:stuck_out_tongue: i 'kin love v-twins…

Nice one Jay, I wanna try that new Buell sports bike (the one that looks like a bug up front).

Was looking at an 05 RSV 1000 at the weekend…Bloody Chunky.

Turn off that 2 cylinder brain washing machine

Look into my eyes Afro… You know you want to;)

Its a Vee thing:cool:

babyj has a dirty great dustbin instead of an exhaust underneath…loud is an understatement

Which model was it?

I’ve always fancied a go on one too…I think the local Harley shop lets them out on test rides.

How did it handle? I always thought that it would be wicked agile with that short little wheel base.
